What is Melu?

Our mission is to transform the way people eat. Our goal is to enhance convenience and access to a diverse menu, cultivated by the local community, and prepared with only the best locally sourced ingredients. 

How does it work?

It’s really simple. First, you select your dinner. Next, pick a delivery time and we deliver your order to your location. All you need to do is reheat your dish and eat! Enjoy!

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs $2.95 no matter what you order. Feed yourself - $2.95. Feed an army - $2.95.

Should I tip the delivery person?

Gratuity is optional. Your driver receives the entire delivery fee and does not expect a gratuity. However, if you would like to extend a tip please feel free to do so. 

How long does prep take?

Not long. Most dishes take 2-3 minutes to reheat. For pizza we recommend heating in the oven, which takes about 12 minutes. Enjoy!

What if I have a food allergy?

We take special care to alert our customers if there are dishes that contain ingredients with common food allergies. To that end, we recommend that you closely read the menu description as well as ingredient list before ordering.

Do you offer Gluten Free and Vegetarian options?

Yes, we do! Each dish includes a list of ingredients and you can use the tags feature on the menu page to filter for dishes that have specific attributes such as Gluten Free and Vegetarian.

When and where does Melu deliver?

Currently, we deliver to East Providence, Providence, and Pawtucket. We are expanding soon. Please tell us where we should open next. Contact support - support@melu.co or send us a note using the green help tab.

I don’t live in the current service area? Can I use Melu?

Unfortunately, not yet. Send a note to support - support@melu.co - and tell us where you live. We want to hear where we should open next!

When does Melu deliver?

Melu delivers 7 days a week between 5pm-8pm. When ordering, select your preferred delivery window and we’ll have your dinner ready for you after a busy day.

What time do I need to order by?

Currently, the order cut off for same day ordering is 5pm. If you order after that time we’ll deliver your order the following day. We will be adding on-demand ordering soon. Stay tuned.

Can I deliver to places other than a home?

Yes, you are happy to order from any place, including your office. Please remember to let us know if you want your order left with a doorman.

How can I change my delivery time?

Do I need to be home?

No, you do not need to be home to recieve a Melu delivery. We’ll leave your dinner at your home and send you an email confirmation so you know your order was delivered.

How can I change or cancel my order?

How do I contact Melu for help with an order once it’s delivered?

Are containers microwave safe?

Yes. the containers are microwave safe. Please remember to remove the plastic cover before reheating.

How long can I keep a Melu meal in the refrigerator?

Meals typically last about 1-3 days as long as they are kept in the refrigerator. Stews and braises can last up to 3 days while leafy salads are best enjoyed within a day.
